Bowel Cancer Screen
Colon (Bowel) cancer is the second highest cause of cancer death in New Zealand, with approximately 3,000 New Zealanders diagnosed each year. Members who are aged 60+ (or are advised by a medical professional that it is clinically-appropriate) are able to earn AIA Vitality Points for being screened (via a FIT or FOBT) every two years.
You can have this test every two years for 1,000 points.

The Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) or Faecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) can detect minimal amounts of blood in your bowel motions, which may be an early warning sign that you need to seek further screening. To qualify for points for this assessment you must be 60+ years old or have this test deemed clinically appropriate by your health professional.
